Brazil registers 496 reopened malls (86% of the total) this Tuesday, 28, in 187 cities, according to the Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers (Abrasce) and reported by Agência Estado.
The Brazilian economy reopening began in April and May, after the suspension of part of the decrees published by city halls and state governments prohibiting the operation of malls in to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
A survey carried out by Abrasce pointed out that sales in the sector are, on average, 58.2% below the pre-covid level. The result was updated until the end of the first week of July. Until that date, the country had 425 malls reopened, or 74% of the total.
