Amazon said on Thursday some corporate employees will be offered the option to return to the office for three days a week and work remotely for the other two days.
Employees in frontline roles such as hardware engineers will continue to work onsite, Amazon said.
Amazon will also give employees the choice to work up to four weeks per year fully remote from a domestic location.
Contacted by LABS, Amazon‘s press office in Brazil said that it is not yet known to what extent the new policy will be applied outside the U.S. In May, the company announced 70 remote job openings for developers in the country, which may be an indication that things will take a while to get back to normal in Brazil.
