Argentine fintech Moni expands to Colombia

Colombia has a booming fintech market and Moni is targeting the unbanked people

Argentine fintech Moni, a subsidiary of Finven Latam Inc, is expanding its Latin America operation. It started to operate in Colombia where it will offer credit, as reported iProUP. Colombia has a booming fintech market and Moni is targeting the unbanked people.

Besides Argentina, Moni already operates in Mexico. Founded in 2013 by Juan Pablo Bruzzo and Alejandro Estrada, it provides credit and bill payment products including overdraft, long term credit and bill payment products to underbanked consumers.

In 2017, Moni raised $3 million led by The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
