Brazilian broker XP commits itself to have half of its staff made up of women by 2025

The announcement was made during XP Expert, the company's annual event for investors

The Brazilian broker XP Inc. announced that it intends to have 50% of its staff made up of women at all hierarchical levels by 2025. Currently, 22% of the company’s more than 2,600 employees are women. The announcement was made during XP Expert, the company’s annual event for investors that this year migrated to an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

XP may finish 2020 with 3,100 employees. With the announcement, the broker wants to accelerate the process of including women in the financial market and in leadership positions.

To achieve that, XP is implementing practical measures such as the creation of the female collective MLHR3, in addition to fostering groups and internal communities to discuss and implement leadership training, career mentoring, and the review of internal policies.
