Brazilian startup Contabilizei, born as an online service for accountants, will become a fintech from 2021, as first reported NeoFeed. Contabilizei already offers a digital account in partnership with BS2 neobank to its customers. It is now preparing to launch financial services, such as credit cards, loans, and working capital, said Vitor Torres, Contabilizei’s CEO and founder, to the news outlet focused on business NeoFeed.
The startup is also negotiating a new investment round with venture capital funds, including SoftBank, two sources told NeoFeed. Contabilize’s CEO did not confirm or deny it. He said that he is not actively looking for a round of investments. Sought by NeoFeed, SoftBank said it would not comment on the matter.
Torres said that Contabilizei does not need resources to invest in financial services in 2021. According to NeoFeed, the talks are advanced with SoftBank, but there is no signed agreement between the parties.
