Brazilian broker XP announced this Wednesday (6) a new service hub targeting the startup ecosystem. The company will offer tailored products and services, also including mentorship from top executives in the market and by XP leaders.

The startup services hub will be part of XP Empresas unit, the corporate solutions arm for small and medium organizations. The group wants to reach at least 250 startups in its first year of operation.

“We are going to offer the most efficient and disruptive solutions on the market to help the development of these companies”, says XP Empresas’ commercial head, Jonas Paulo, responsible for the initiative. “With this, we also help to build loyalty between partner companies and XP.”

Mentorship for startups

The services offered are financial planning, succession process, checking account, credit, among others. In addition, XP will offer a mentorship service, with some of its central executives, such as José Berenguer, CEO of Banco XP.

“We launched the hub with a base of 50 companies on our radar, as they already have some kind of relationship with XP. The objective is to follow the evolution of all of them. We want to be together with these clients in their journey of growth and business development”, highlights the head of XP Empresas, Rodrigo Moreira.

According to Moreira, the company wants to take advantage of the opportunities that are already “inside the house” and offer services and products as partner companies gain relevance on fronts where XP has the expertise, such as Private Banking and Investment Banking.

To participate in the hub, startups will need to go through a selection process and meet some criteria, such as having at least half of the revenue originated from digital channels, having technology as the main tool to address the solutions to their target market, have large scale business models, among others.
