Brazilian technology company Locaweb said it is mulling a listing in the United States, according to a securities filing late on Monday.

Locaweb said the discussions over a potential U.S. listing are preliminary and no decision has been taken yet.

The company said it “constantly studies and evaluates opportunities for fundraising and resources and generating value for its shareholders, among them the possibility of listing in other markets in other markets, as well as several other Brazilian companies.”

The statement comes after a Brazil Journal report. “At this date, there is no
there is no advanced process of structuring the listing in the USA (or in another market), change of head office or any other definition on the subject,” it said.
