Brazil's Lojas Americanas begins to accept PIX for payments

Brazil’s retailer Lojas Americanas, owned by B2W, said on Wednesday that it began accepting payments on its digital platform through the PIX instant system.

In Lojas Americanas brick-and-mortar stores, PIX is in a pilot project in 10 units between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, but in the coming weeks, it will be available in more than 1,700 stores across the country, the company said.
