Brazil’s retailer Lojas Americanas, owned by B2W, said on Wednesday that it began accepting payments on its digital platform through the PIX instant system.

When chosen to process the payment, the solution brokered by Ame, Americana’s fintech, generates a dynamic QR Code. Payment is made within 10 seconds.

In Lojas Americanas brick-and-mortar stores, PIX is in a pilot project in 10 units between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, but in the coming weeks, it will be available in more than 1,700 stores across the country, the company said.
