Brazil's Via Varejo announces a new logistics platform for marketplace partners

Collection, shipment and and same-day delivery are among the services available on the retailer's new platform

Brazilian retailer Via Varejo announced on Monday a new logistics platform for its marketplace, offering services such as collection, shipment and same-day delivery.

Envvias is already in operation and available for partner retailers to join, according to Via Varejo, which mentioned among the benefits the reduction in freight costs and product display as ‘delivered by’ Casas Bahia, Pontofrio or Extra.com.br – its subsidiaries.

“Right now, we are connecting the seller to our greatest asset,” said Via Varejo’s VP of operations, Sérgio Leme, in a statement.

Via Varejo added that it is currently speeding up integration processes for connecting the logistics network with the store chain and digital sales channels.
