Cyberday 2021, Chile‘s online shopping event equivalent to Black Friday, surpassed all estimates and generated $640 million in sales in three days, a 57% increase over last year’s event. Between May 31 and June 2, Cyberday has sold more than 15 million items from 670 brands.
The result of the event can be attributed to the boost in e-commerce, a global trend accelerated by the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“All of this takes place amidst a new scenario of restrictions on mobility, which strengthens the role of e–commerce in connecting businesses to millions of consumers,” said Carlos Soublette, manager of the Camara de Comercio de Santiago, the representative entity of the Chilean commerce, that organizes the event.
