The new funding will help the startup to grow its logistics intelligence platform and expand to other countries besides Mexico, Chile, Peru and Uruguay. Beyond the funding infusion, SimpliRoute has raised $1.5 million over the past five years. The startup may soon hire engineers and sales reps across multiple countries in the region including Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia.

According to CrunchBase, Alvaro Echeverria, SimpliRoute’s CEO, said that as demand has expended, the company will priorize growth of its engineering teams and local presence in Colombia, Brazil and Argentina. “We already have customers in the U.S and Europe, and we’re going to invest in our product so that we can accelerate growth in those markets”, he said.
