Chilean retailer Falabella to shut physical operations in Argentina: only e-commerce from now on

In the next 60 days the company will shut the three remaining department stores that were left in the country

South American retail giant Falabella is closing all its stores in Argentina, operating in the country only with e-commerce. Since September 2020, the retailer announced it was reducing its local structure in Argentina to sustain the business amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Sources close to the company informed El Cronista that in the next 60 days the company will shut the three remaining department stores that were left standing in the country.

Stores in Argentina were the ones that remained closed the longest in the region as a result of the restrictions imposed to prevent COVID-19 infection, according to Diario Financiero.
