Chilean RPA startup Rocketbot raises $2.1 million to expand to Brazil, U.S. and Europe

Santiago-based startup Rocketbot raised $2.1 million Pre Series A round to expand to Brazil, the U.S., and Europe, where it intends to open new offices, and to continue expanding in Mexico, where it already operates. A large part of the round came from Grupo Consorcio, the largest insurance group in the Chilean market.

VC Manutara Ventures, Mexican Compusoluciones, and the venture capital and private equity company Angel Venture Guadalajara also participated in the round.

The Chilean startup provides RPA (robotic process automation) tools. Founded three years ago, it caught Google‘s attention and teamed up with the big tech to integrate AI into its bots so that Google can digitize scanned, photographed, or handmade documents.

Later 2020, Gartner ranked Rocketbot as the second-best RPA platform in the world for midsize companies (with an annual turnover of up to $1 billion).

Rocketbot’s CEO, Juan Jorge Herrera, said that the fundraising comes amid a search to expand operations in different continents. “We are a highly competitive tool that continues with the goal of positioning itself globally and making alliances with global brands and large regional partners,” he said, in a press statement.

Besides, proceeds will go to continue developing Rocketbot’s tool, strengthening cybersecurity and integrating new functions related to artificial intelligence and automation in different verticals, according to Herrera.
