Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the logistics sector needed to reinvent itself to continue moving countries’ economies. This was stated by the Colombian startup Liftit, a provider of immediate cargo delivery, which recently launched Flota Logística, an open collaboration ecosystem that connects users and carriers of these services quickly, as reported by La República.

Through Flota Logística, companies needing to move cargo will be able to register and publish cargo offers, so that independent carriers and logistics service operators registered on the platform can attend to them. It’s a public and free ecosystem for both parties, since Liftit doesn’t charge for registration or intermediation.

What we want is to guarantee that every need for available cargo meets a person who executes it, either with a logistics operator such as Liftit or any other, or through informal carriers throughout the market

Since its launch in the third week of March, Flota Logística already has more than 143 registered carriers and logistics operators and is growing every day.

According to La República, today, not only Liftit, but also other consolidated companies in the country’s logistics market, such as Coltanques or Entregalo.co, offer their services on the platform. The service is initially available in Colombia but the startup intends to expand to other Latin American countries.
