Google has requested the Brazilian Central Bank to operate payments through prepaid accounts in Brazil, according to Tecnoblog. The news considers that the request may be related to Google Pay activities in Brazil.

The request was made by Google Brasil Payments Ltda, registered in the country since 2011, and intents to institute payments arrangements methods. It does not detail how the prepaid account would work, whether by a prepaid card issued by Visa or Mastercard or credit recharges.
