HBO Max announced that when it will debut in Latin America in June, it will invest in local productions, with at least 100 originals. Of these, at least 33 are already in production. All titles will be exclusive to the HBO Max platform under the Max Originals brand.
Some of these originals have already been announced, such as the Mexican action-comedy Búnker; the musical drama Días de Gallos, an Argentine series; and Os Ausentes, a Brazilian series about an agency that searches for missing persons.

Among the documentaries, one of the most promising is Bilardo, the football doctor, a documentary series with testimonials from the most important personalities in Argentine football. All of this should come out of the oven later this year.

According to the company, the objective is to “tell the stories of each country with which the audience identifies” through the content of various genres and formats – fiction series, movies, documentaries and reality shows.
Tomás Yankelevich, content director for WarnerMedia Latin America, said that HBO Max is committed to telling stories generating experiences and emotions in the Latin American audience. “We are working with local stories of all kinds, reinforcing our commitment to local communities, with great Latin American talents and, definitely, with our audience.”
