iFood has been in the Colombian market for five years, and, according to Colombia’s manager of iFood, Camilo Sarasti, it’s working to strengthen itself in big cities and to complete the merger with Domicilios.com, he said, in an interview with La República.
In April, iFood announced it had bought a controlling stake in Colombian Domicilios.com, expecting to tackle Rappi, the Colombia-based and SoftBank-backed startup with largest network in South America, according to a Reuters report. According to Sarasti, delivery is an industry that has grown a lot in recent months.
