Investment in Brazilian fintechs exceeds US$ 1 billion, according to Distrito

The sector attracted more than US$ 1.16 billion, through 76 investment rounds so far in 2020, says the Brazilian innovation platform

October generated about US$ 36 million in funding for the fintech sector in Brazil, according to the innovation platform Distrito.

As for the number of the deals in the month so far, Distrito announced 4 Series B, 3 seed, 2 Series A and 2 Pre-Seed rounds, accounting for 11 contributions raised by 11 startups.

Over 2020, the amount invested since January surpassed the milestone of US$ 1 billion and reached more than US$ 1.16 billion, through 76 investment rounds.

Earlier this month, the intelligence platform disclosed that Brazil has 34% more fintechs in a year-over-year comparison, with 828 companies in this sector.
