Brazilian startups raised nearly $4 billion in June, through 80 rounds and 22 mergers and acquisitions, according to the latest Sling Hub‘s report.
The amount is almost 2/3 of what was raised in 2021 so far. It was also the best month of the year for investments in Mexico, with 10 rounds and one M&A. In total, Mexican startups raised $506 million last month.
Together, Brazil and Mexico‘s startups raised $4.5 billion in June.

The platform also shows that June was the month with all-time most Series C and Series A rounds in Brazil, 5 and 18, respectively.

The most active investor in Mexico in June was KASZEK, that invested in 3 rounds in the country.
Of the 4 industries that investors allocated money, fintech was responsible for 7 deals, including the one that brought Mexico‘s latest unicorn: Clip, after raising $250 million.
