Knewin, a Brazilian technology company founded in 2011 that uses AI and data analysis to serve communications and marketing companies, announced the acquisition of NewsMonitor, a news monitoring and information management platform that monitors more than 50,000 websites and handles an average volume of 3 million news per month.
It is the 12th acquisition in the history of Knewin, and it takes place a few weeks after the company has announced a BRL 40 million private equity round led by Oria Capital. The deal includes incorporating 150 NewsMonitor clients (communication, advertising, and advertising agencies, private companies, and government agencies) and the NewsMonitor’s team of professionals.
In the press release, Knewin presents itself as “the largest PRTech in Latin America” and says it has over 1000 B2B customers and a complete portfolio of business intelligence and data analytics solutions. The new acquisition highlights Knewin’s presence in the communication and marketing areas and increases the platform’s affinity to the public sector.
