The Brazilian retail behemoth Magazine Luiza (or Magalu) acquired another food delivery app, this time Plus Delivery, from Espírito Santo, to strengthen its operation in the food delivery segment. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is the third delivery app acquired by Magalu since last year; in September, the retailer bought the startup AiQFome, from Paraná, and in March, the app ToNoLucro, which has a strong presence in the states Goiás, Pará and Tocantins. Also, the company recently acquired GrandChef, a technology platform focused on small and medium-sized restaurants, which helps in business management and in online sales debut.
