Nintendo announced on Monday that it will launch an online video game store in Brazil next week. The launch of the Nintendo eShop in the country will enable Brazilian users to buy digital media games for the Nintendo Switch through the console itself, a function that was not available until now.

The company said the store will be launched on December 7 with around 700 titles and will accept payments in Brazilian reais. Local players did not have the option to buy games directly from the Switch, and could only redeem codes purchased on the internet or in physical stores of some retailers.
