Nubank launches its credit card in Colombia

Nubank will randomly select 3,000 of the 250,000 Colombians on the waiting list to download its app and complete the registration

Brazilian fintech Nubank announced on Thursday the launch of its credit card in Colombia, stating that it has a waiting list in the country with 250,000 interested people, of which it will serve 3,000 in the first phase.

The digital bank arrived in Colombia in September. Nubank has more than 20 million credit card users in Brazil and Mexico, out of a total of 34 million customers.

According to Nubank, gradually, over 250,000 Colombians who registered on the waiting list will start receiving the purple credit card, called Nu in the country.

Nubank will randomly select 3,000 of the 250,000 Colombians on the waiting list to receive an email with the invitation to download the app and complete the registration. Over time, the fintech will extend the number of invitations.

In Mexico, almost a year after its launch, there are already over one million requests for the Nu credit card, informed the company.
