Nubank ends waiting list and announces long-awaited services

The Brazilian 'decacorn' now has more than 10 million customers

The US$ 10 billion Brazilian fintech Nubank announced this Thursday the release of debit card access for all its customers. Until now, the financial services startup only permitted payment of vouchers and credit card invoices using available balance. 

Following customer requests, the debit function was recently released to 2.5 million users – Nubank now has over 10 million customers. There was even a waiting list for the service.

The company is likely to finish the year with twice as many customers and a greater range of services. With these changes, the card will allow purchases in physical stores and withdrawals in machines 24 hours network.

In the case of withdrawals, there will be a cost of BRL 6.50 per transaction. Interested customers should order the card through the app. If you already have a company credit card, you will need to enable the debit function, also through the application.
