Nubank's marketplace now has Games, Travel and Pets product categories

Nubank's e-commerce platform, launched last November, is part of fintech' strategy to expand its portfolio and monetize its user base

Nubank has added three new product categories – Games, Travel, and Pet – and ten new partner stores to its recently launched in-app e-commerce vertical. As of this Tuesday (4), the digital bank’s customers will be able to buy products directly from the fintech app, from stores such as Netshoes, Zattini, Shopee, Nike, Centauro,, Xbox, Playstation, Hype Games, and Petlove.

Nubank’s in-app e-commerce platform was launched last November as part of the fintech company’s strategy to expand its product portfolio and look for ways to monetize its customer base of over 48 million people. According to Juan Carlos Guillermety, VP and general manager of marketplace at the digital bank, Nubank has been aiming to expand the range of products offered in the app and add more and more categories in the marketplace to “ensure ease for our customers in many other areas of their lives.”

Nubank currently offers credit cards, accounts for individuals and companies, investments, personal loans, insurance and, since July, it has already included the offer of products from partners in its app, such as international transfers from Remessa Online and, more recently, loans with vehicle guarantees from Creditas.

The Nubank Shopping section, in addition to the new partners, announced today, already has large e-commerces and retail brands in Brazil, such as Magalu, Via, Dafiti, AliExpress, and MobCom.

The e-commerce partner stores offer exclusive discounts and special offers on selected products for fintech customers. To access these benefits, the shopping must be started from the Nubank app, in the Shopping section, where the customer accesses the store and clicks on ” go to the store” to be redirected to the checkout process.
