Rappi implements pit stops for its partners in Colombia

Project cost $ 178,000 and should be expanded to three other Colombian cities

The super app Rappi has introduced pit stops for its partners or “Rappitenderos” in Colombia, its home. The idea is that with this support they can safely park their vehicles, wait for orders, or just rest for a little bit. According to Contxto, Rappi has invested$ 178 thousand to make this initiative possible.

“For the development of these pit stops, we have been working with local authorities to make this project a reality. We invite all Rappitenderos to use and, above all, take care of these spaces in a responsible manner, so that together we can generate a positive change for the city,” said Juan Sebastián Rozo, director of Rappi Public Affairs for the Andean Region.

These pit stops will open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with staff on-site to supervise operations. Outside of Bogotá, there will also be pit stops in Medellín, Cali, and Barranquilla.

It is not yet known how many pit stops will reach other Latin American countries where Rappi operates, such as Brazil and Argentina.
