While the retail market is full of up’s and down’s, traveling abroad is never out of people’s plans and this industry keeps finding ways to grow. The U.S and Latin American travelers, for instance, are a great example, even when Latin American countries are going through economic instability, traveling to the U.S remains an opportunity.

In 2018, when Brazil was living one of the most turbulent electoral periods and the currency variation was reaching its highest rates, 1,5 million Brazilians traveled to international destinations, which represents an increase of 23,3% in relation to the previous year, according to a research conducted by Brazilian Tour Operators Association. And the North American countries were those that have taken the most benefit of the Brazilian growing interest, as 45,4% of all these Brazilians who traveled abroad visited North American countries.

On the other hand, North Americans are always also appearing among Latin America’s current visitors. According to data from the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, the United States tourist is the second on the list of the countries that most visit Brazil.

And the close tourism relation is not exclusive of Brazil and the U.S, Mexico, Argentina, and Chile are as attractive to the North American tourists as the country known for the samba, beaches, and soccer. Not by coincidence, Forbes 20 best places to visit in 2020 highlighted 7 Latin American destinations – and forget the most popular places and biggest cities: the list selected cultural destinations in which an outsider could really go deep in the region’s culture.

Take a look and find out why the American media outlet is betting on these places to take the spotlight on the Latin American travel market:
