The Brazilian foodtech Fazenda Futuro begins expansion in Latin America
  • Uruguay and Paraguay will be the next markets to receive Fazenda Futuro’s hamburgers by the end of August
  • The brand will also expand into Chile in the next month
  • The expansion plan came as a result of the recent $8.5 million fundraised from Monashees

Launched in Abril, the Brazilian startup Fazenda Futuro only took a few months to reach a valuation of $100 million and start to turn bigger plans into reality. The company that focused on producing 100% veggie hamburgers, made of sources such as soya and beet, is already present in more than 100 Brazilian restaurants and 2 thousand points of sale, but their plans are to take things even further.

By the end of August, Fazenda Futuro products will be available in Uruguay and Paraguay, in addition to starting on the Chilean market next month.

The Latin American expansion of the food company came as a result of the recent $8.5 million investment received from Monashees, the same investor of Rappi and Loggi, announced in July. Besides improving the brand presence in Latin America, the fund will also be useful to increase the presence of their signature vegetarian hamburgers that reproduce the texture of bovine meat in more cities of Brazil.
