The third largest Brazilian bank, Banco do Brasil is now allowing its customers to pay with QR Code. The new feature is available on Cielo POS.

According to the bank, the free solution is initially available for purchases using the credit function (in cash or in installments). When paying with a QR Code, the user must type the password on the cellphone itself. The password is required in transactions starting at BRL 50 ($8,50).

We are experiencing a time of behavior change, and the way of making payments is also changing. BB follows these changes and offers several contactless payment solutions, such as digital wallets, Ourocard bracelet and Ourocard Visa, which has embedded contactless technology. The QR Code solution completes this list of options.
