- Partners will receive an invitation to join the service, but membership is not mandatory.
Uber launched on Thursday 28th the Uber Account, a digital account through which drivers and delivery partners will receive payment instantly, a few minutes after the end of the race or delivery – very different from what happens today, with weekly payment upon request through the app. The information was published first hand on Broadcast +, from the O Estado de S. Paulo.
Uber’s digital account also comes with a prepaid card for payments, cash withdrawals and transfers. The digital account benefits program will be linked to the rating of the driver or deliverer in the app.
Partnership with digio, the digital bank resulting from a partnership between Banco do Brasil and Bradesco, Uber Account will initially be available to a smaller number of drivers and deliverers from São Paulo, for the testing phase. Partners will receive an invitation to join the service, but membership is not mandatory.
For Broadcast+, the digio,’s CEO Carlos Giovane Neves said that the expectation is that 80% of the base of drivers and deliverers will make the digital account. The bank’s idea is to start offering other financial services as the service gains more users.
