Brazil's retailer B2W partners with UK's e-commerce app for live commerce

UK-based platform OOOOO platform uses the concept of 'entertainment first, shopping later'

Brazil’s e-commerce retailer B2W reported on Tuesday that it closed an agreement with the OOOOO platform, which specializes in live commerce, to use live streaming to boost sales.

The agreement provides for the launch of a social commerce app later this month and the option to form a joint venture later on.

According to B2W, OOOOO has the most downloaded shopping app in England in recent months and uses the concept of ‘entertainment first, shopping later’.

“The partnership will allow the speed up of the company’s an advertising and entertainment avenues,” said B2W, adding that live commerce represents 10% of e-commerce sales in China.

Owner of e-commerce websites in Brazil, such as Submarino and Americanas.com, B2W announced last week the approval of a corporate restructuring plan with its parent company Lojas Americanas, which may include a listing on the United States.
