- Experts said that the Brazilian 5G auction will be the largest one in the world;
- It was expected to happen this year but the pandemic caused field tests suspension.
Brazil’s government postponed privatization and auction plans promised for this year to 2021 and 2022, reported G1. The list includes the 5G auction, 22 airports, six highways, two railways and the sale of at least six state-owned companies. Still, this year the government expects to hold 15 auctions.

The launch of the auction notice of the 5G frequencies in the country, scheduled for the end of this year, had field tests suspended due to the pandemic and deadlocks in the use of the same frequency range used by the satellite dish signal, TVRO, and by satellite companies.
