2 out of 10 top artists on YouTube's music chart ranking are Latinos

YouTube's music ranking on February 18 showed two of the top 10 artists from Latin America: Puerto Rico's Bad Bunny and Colombian J Balvin

Two out of 10 top artists on YouTube’s ranking are Latinos. One of them is the Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, that starred at the top spot as the most-streamed artist on Spotify in 2020. The reggaeton singer is part of the diversification of pop stardom, according to The New York Times, when at first only English-speaking artists leaded rankings worldwide.

On YouTube’s ranking, it’s easy to see that English-speaking singers are losing their dominance, as first noticed Rolling Stone.
