A new scandal involving politicians and vaccines against COVID-19 resulted in the resignation of Argentine Health Minister Ginés González García, at the request of President Alberto Fernández, after the revelation that González would have distributed doses of vaccine against COVID-19 to friends, servants and government secretaries who were not part of the priority vaccination group.

According to the local press, the undue distribution of vaccines took place at the headquarters of the Argentine Ministry of Health. About 3,000 doses of Sputnik V would have been kept for ministry officials and other chosen people.
