Brazilian healthy food startup Liv Up has reached a new milestone in July. From its 550 employees, 51% are women, and more than that: 50% of these female employees are in leadership positions.
“It is a movement that precedes my arrival. A genuine desire to generate equality” explained to Forbes Brasil Liv Up’s CHRO Cleide Oliveira, who joined the company in 2019 with a big challenge ahead: putting together a gender equity plan that would reach 50% of women in leadership positions by October 2020.

The executive says that Liv Up is oriented towards the though that diversity generates innovation and that a work environment in which different people live and collaborate is much more susceptible to new ideas and important opinions. “The movement is for a team as a whole. We play like this and we want to value people”, she says, adding that this creates a solid base capable of “setting an example at home and being able to sustain the evolution and growth of the company.”
At the end of May, Liv Up told LABS that it had been delivering around 300,000 meals every month, and since the beginning, in 2016, it saw sales at least triple each year.
