Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro acknowledged on Tuesday Joe Biden‘s victory in the United States presidential elections, more than a month after Biden was declared the winner by the projections of the local press and the result was confirmed by the country’s electoral college.
“Greetings to President Joe Biden, with my best wishes and the hope that the United States will continue to be ‘the land of the free and the home of the brave’,” wrote the Brazilian president.
“I will be ready to work with you and to continue building a Brazil-US alliance, defending sovereignty, democracy and freedom around the world, as well as economic-commercial integration for the benefit of our peoples.”
Bolsonaro is one of the last world leaders to recognize Biden’s victory.
