Netflix released this Thursday the full official trailer for Invisible City, its latest Brazilian original series. Drawing on the country’s folklore, the new production tells the story of a detective whose investigation into a murder case brings him into contact with a world of mythology and fantasical creatures.

With seven episodes, Invisible City is the first live-action project led by Carlos Saldanha, Brazilian director nominated for an Oscar and known for the animated franchises Ice Age and Rio, in addition to the animation Ferdinand.

Scheduled to premiere on February 5, the new series is a production by Prodigo Films for Netflix and depicts themes such as environmental preservation, the rescue of Brazilian popular culture, in addition to exploring human relationships through mystics and thriller. Starring Marco Pigossi and Alessandra Negrini, the cast has also Jessica Córes, Fábio Lago, Wesley Guimarães, Manu Diegues, Julia Konrad, among others.
