Apple, Amazon, and Google partner to make smart home devices compatible

Titled "Connected Home over IP", the project will also have Zigbee Alliance members as contributors

According to Reuters, Amazon, Apple and Google’s parent company Alphabet are partnering for better compatibility among their smart home products. The announcement was made this Wednesday by the companies.

Titled “Connected Home over IP”, the project will also have Zigbee Alliance, whose members include IKEA and NXP Semiconductors, as contributor.

The project comes in a moment of hard competition between big techs to take on the market of voice assistants and smart devices.
