Cool workplaces, casual dress code, fewer formalities and a lot of benefits, are some of the many aspects that are putting the startups, and mainly the unicorns, on the top of the professional wish list of the millennials. And it has also become a business opportunity.
In order to get the candidates ready to face some very competitive recruitment processes, the startup Gama Academy was born with a specific mission: to understand what tech-companies, such as Nubank, Gympass or iFood, are looking for and offer programs focused on these needs, according to the media outlet Exame.
The startup has just raised BRL 3 million in a Series A round led by Smart Money Ventures and is focusing its efforts on contents that have all to do with the segments with more job vacancies open in startups, such as sales, marketing, design, and development. Also, all the Gama Academy’s instructors are experts on this market and have companies such as iFood, Movile, and Creditas on its curriculum.
And the rise of the startup market in Brazil is so huge that Gama Academy is growing at a fast pace, 3.000 students have already been graduated in at least one of the programs available. In 2019, Gama Academy has grown by 200% and the company plans to repeat the same rate in 2020, the goal to achieve this is to increase the presence in the Brazilian market and start looking for international funds.
Currently, the programs are available in five Brazilian cities, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Florianópolis, Curitiba, and Brasília, but the plan is to keep moving forward. This year, the service might be available in 5 new locations, Campinas, Recife, Goiânia, Rio de Janeiro e Porto Alegre.
