DAZN signs agreement to debut in e-Sports in Brazil

The platform will broadcast BLAST Premier 2020

DAZN announced the acquisition of the broadcast rights for BLAST Premier 2020 (former BLAST Pro Series of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive CS: GO). The competition not only changed its name but also its format and award, it should be the first step of DAZN in the exhibition of e-Sports in Brazil.

The new tournament circuit will have two seasons (spring and autumn), with a prize pool of $4.25 million throughout the competition. The Brazilian team MiBR is among the 12 teams that will participate in the competition.

The current format of the initial phase, called “Play-in”, will have more matches and will be played for a period longer than the only two days of the old model. The teams will be divided into three groups and will duel in a best of three (md3) for three weeks.

The broadcasts begin this Saturday (1st), starting at 12:30 pm, with narration in English.
