Facebook expands data center on climate change and includes Brazil

The initiative, launched in September, was already in operation in France, Germany, Britain and the United States

Facebook is expanding its climate science information center to several countries and adding new features, like a section with facts designed to expose some climate myths, the company said on Thursday.

The social media giant launched the center in September to highlight credible sources on climate change amid growing criticism against the company for spreading misinformation on the subject.

The center, which already exists in France, Germany, Britain and the United States, will be available in Brazil, in addition to Belgium, Canada, India and Indonesia, among other countries, starting this Thursday, Facebook said.
