With the increase in smartphone penetration in Brazil–in the next three years the country should have 420 million active devices, according to a survey by Brazilian institution FGV-SP–the population is more concerned about overuse of the device. “Half of Brazilians who worry about their smartphone usage time have already used some resources to control their time spent on their smartphone,” he told the Brazilian Gazeta do Povo newspaper.

According to a survey by GSMA Intelligence with 2,480 Brazilians, at Google‘s request, 83% use their smartphones for internet research, 77% for banking, 70% for reading news, 65% for mobility applications, 51% to study and 44% to access public services. That is, it is becoming increasingly difficult not to use the smartphone at all times.
