One new huge player is just about to enter the streaming market. Around one year after the first announcement of the product, NBCUniversal unveiled the official launch date and pricing of its new streaming service, Peacock.
The much-awaited streaming will be first released to Comcast users that will be able to access Peacock on April 15 with no additional costs, while the official launch date in the US is July 15.
One of the most-awaited announcements was the free subscription option, but it will be released as a limited version that counts on 7,500 hours of content, including Universal movies. Although, the company is betting that it will work as a way to attract new users and make them interested enough to start paying for the full portfolio. To have access to programs such as “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in the full version, subscribers will have to pay a $ 4.99 monthly tax.
