SAP launches competition for startups focused on social and environmental impact in Latin America

Projects must have a minimum of six months of local or national operation

  • The winning startup will receive a $5,000 prize to invest, three months of support from Socialab, and one year of virtual support given by SAP Labs Latin America.

In partnership with Socialab, SAP is launching the latest edition of its Social Innomarathon, a regional competition that aims to promote high-impact ventures in Latin America.

Enrolled startups must focus on solving social or environmental problems and use sustainable B2B business models in which technology plays a leading role. Registration is free and will be open until June 14.

The winning startup will receive a $5,000 prize to invest in the venture, three months of personalized support from Socialab, and one year of virtual support given by specialists from SAP Labs Latin America. In addition, it would also be able to become an authorized SAP partner to do business with customers and participate in the Partner Edge program and the SAP App Center marketplace.

Among the requirements to take part in the competition, projects must have a minimum of six months of local or national operation, a validated prototype of products or services, recurring sales, at least one person dedicated full time and experience of the leader in the sector in which the company operates.
