Spotify tests new music app for children

Available in Ireland, version is expected to reach other countries soon

Spotify has released a beta version of Spotify Kids. The app has songs and stories for kids from 3 years old. For now, according to information from the Gazeta do Povo newspaper, this version is only available in Ireland.

If approved in the country, the app will be expanded to all regions where Family Premium service is available.

The idea, according to the publication, is that the parents create a profile for the child and, from that, release the desired content. A team of editors from companies such as Nickelodeon, Discovery Kids and Disney have come up with the content of this children’s version of Spotify.
