Spotify presents a 'Clubhouse'-alike app Greenroom, its live-audio room

Spotify announced Greenroom, a ‘Clubhouse’- alike feature app, in partnership with its recently acquired firm Locker Room. The live audio experience is available on iOS and Android in over 135 markets Spotify operates around the world.

According to Spotify, on Greenroom users will find conversations with top artists, athletes, and people in the know.

“And in the interest of making Greenroom the premier creator-friendly live audio platform, we’re also proud to announce that we will be launching a Spotify Creator Fund, which will help live audio creators monetize their work,” said the company.

It seems like audio is the hottest thing in tech now, since Facebook also announced it is bringing podcasts to its social media platform. According to Facebook, by adding podcasts to the user’s page, people will be able to listen to every podcast episode directly on Facebook.
