The Russian app Telegram announced on Thursday a feature expected by many users: importing message history from other apps, such as WhatsApp. With the new functionality, now it is possible to transfer messages, videos and documents from private or group chats.
According to Telegram reported on its website, 100 million people worldwide downloaded Telegram in January – migration attributed to the privacy policy update announced (and then temporarily postponed) by WhatsApp in early January.

In the Telegram tutorial, the app presents other novelties to strengthen the security and privacy of its users, such as “Control of digital tracks”, which allows users to delete messages they send or receive to both sides.
