  • The Catalog will be available in the company’s profile and will also have a shareable link that can be used in conversations with costumers

That WhatsApp is a phenomenon in Latin America, that isn’t news. Only in Brazil, 91% of connected people use the messaging app, according to Ibope Inteligência data from 2018. And now the app that already is one of the most important tools for small Latin American business, will be even more useful.

The app is launching a new feature that allows small companies to share a product catalog with price, image, description, and link to finish the purchase, according to Venture Beat. It will be available for both Android and iOS systems and Mexico and Brazil will be the first countries to receive the new feature since they are also where the app’s major audience is located in the region.

Called Catalog, the feature can be created in the Business Settings section and besides sharing it in the conversation, it will also be available for customers in the profile. And from where this new feature came, we can expect more in the near future, since Facebook’s plan is to make the business version of WhatsApp and Messenger more significant in the revenue of the company in long-term, according to Venture Beat.
