Air freight prices skyrocket 1,000% due to decrease in flights

Air freight prices in Brazil are skyrocketing after the number of passenger flights declined sharply as a consequence of travel restrictions . Air cargo rates spiked up to 1,000% on cargo planes due to COVID-19, according to Exame.

The surge in freight prices makes it difficult to distribute cargo from various sectors, including urgent material and newspapers and magazines, which are among the essential services defined by the Brazilian government in a recent decree.
