Argentina registered a record of 117 deaths due to Covid-19 in a day, as the country moves for relaxing lockdown measures. According to AFP, the record was reached yesterday. It is the first time amid the pandemic that Argentina registers more than 100 fatalities in a 24-hour period.
The country also registered a peak of contagions, with 5,331 new positives, as the government has eased the lockdown measures in the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires, which concentrates 90% of the cases. Now, the death toll in Argentina from Covid-19 stands at 2,490.
